PREPARING TO GRADUATE: Honors in the major

Excellent work in the courses required for degree is awarded honors or highest honors. A minimun GPA of 3.5 in your science courses is needed for honors. A minimum GPA of 3.8 in your science courses is required for highest honors. In close cases, the overall character of your record is taken into account - how well the course record is founded in core Biology (Genetics, Cell Biology, Development, for example) and how well-rounded the record is.
